Popovers
- Makes about 16 popovers. Preheat oven to 450 Fahrenheit
- Using your clean fingers, grease muffin tins generously with butter, do not use liners.
- Beat 3 eggs very well
Add:
- 1 cup White Flour
- ¼ cup Sugar
- ½ teaspoon Salt
- 1 cup Milk
- 2 Tablespoons melted butter (or fresh Roast Beef Oil)
Preheat oven to 450*F
While beating the beaten eggs together with the rest of the ingredients, briefly heat muffin pan in the oven and let melt the butter that you coated each muffin hole. Remove the pan from oven and then immediately fill each muffin hole with 1/3 cup batter.
Bake at 450*F for 20 minutes, then, WITHOUT OPENING THE OVEN…Do NOT open oven door until after 3o minutes of baking, because they may fail, after 20 minutes at 450*F, reduce oven heat to 350*F for an additional 10-20 minutes.
Even if they fail and flop instead of rise…they still taste delicious. Pat yourself on the back and enjoy. With practise, you’ll get the hang of it.
