Boterkoek, Oma
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
Do not grease the two round cake pans
Beat one egg and set aside
Soften:
2 cups Butter
Stir in:
2 cups Sugar
2 Eggs
1 Tablespoon Almond Extract
Add:
3 cups Flour
Blend well with an electric mixer
Pour mixture into 2 round cake pans, ungreased
Brush tops with some of the beaten Egg
Bake for 20-25 minutes
When finished baking, sprinkle tops with Slivered Almonds and one Maraschino Cherry
