Season 47 Episode 12
As the season progresses, we lose more and more of the players we loved to watch play together. What will happen this episode? Will Sue FINALLY stop complaining about Kyle, how much she hates Kyle and how she wants to KILL Kyle? I think that her reaction to Kyle was over the top, for the one little vote he threw her way at the their first tribal council. Sheesh! Let’s see, of the people who remain, who I am I looking forward to watching play this week? Well, Teeny is my favourite right now. Rachel has a great game going. Genevieve plays hard and strategic and they’d be smart to target her next, yet it would be nice to see a power player make it to the end. Andy is a bag of surprises, sometimes I think he is a little too full of himself, and other times I think that he might be on to something. I’m curious if Caroline stays bonded to Sue – I appreciated Caroline’s little talk about living with ADHD.
It won’t be long and we will see more!
Here we are, Survivor is about to air in Toronto, and today I will be watching it again via Stack TV in Toronto time.
Reminding us of the group of 5 who committed to each other at the well. Andy, Rachel, Sue, Caroline and Teeny. Reminding us that Genevieve and Kyle are the first two they want out.
Returning to camp Teeny talks about Kyle was a big part of the fabric of this season. Sue talks about how glad she is gone, and how she found him so annoying. Genevieve and Sam laugh together, Sam is aware of the group of 5, and he knows that they are in a really tight spot, but he intends to keep fighting.
-Opening Credits-
Sue and Caroline make rice together, they are still close. Sue tells her that she is proud of her, of her people skills. Caroline says that the two of them are running the game. We see Sue crawling on her hands and knees searching nooks and crannies for idols. Sue becomes dirtier and dirtier and then she tells Caroline who has a clean face that she needs to wipe off a little bit right there, and Caroline wipes it.
Genevieve apologizes to Andy for the way she was treating him before. Andy acts like they made it up. Teeny approaches Genevieve and Genevieve tells her that if they get Rachel gone, they will improve everyone’s chances of winning. She tells Teeny that no one will beat Rachel at the end, Teeny calls that a threat, Geneveive calls her crazy. Teeny storms away.
Teeny, Rachel and Andy sit together and Teeny tells them what Genevieve said. Rachel said, so I’m a target? Heaven forbid I win immunity. Nobody knows about Rachel’s idol, and only some people know about her block a vote.
-commercials-
Challenge time already! It’s a reward challenge. Race through a series of obstacle, retreive 2 balls and then attempt to land them on a two level perch. The winner will enjoy an afternoon at the sanctuary with Italian food: pizza, cheese, pepperoni, magharita, pasta, bolognaise, mushroom, chaesar salad, fixings, red wine, soda, tiera misu for dessert. I have no idea how to spell some of that.
Push down a pyrimid of sand bags. 3 are loose, 3 are tied up. They untie them, then they have to hoise their bodies over the same frame that held the sandbags. Rachel is through first, then Sam. Then Andy, Genevieve, Caroline, Teeny and Sue. Move a ball through a long netted box, they can only put part of their hands through to move the ball. Rachel first, then Genevieve, then Andy. Rachel unties her second ball and is now crawing through the net crawl with two balls. Then Genevieve, then Teeny, then Sam. Sam is through first, then Rachel, then Andy. Sam lands his first ball. Teeny is through, Genevieve is through. Rachel lands her first ball. Sam wins it.
Jeff tells him that he will get a pillow and a blanket when the afternoon ends, because he will spend the night. He will also have his letters from home. People weren’t expecting the letters. He can choose one person to join him. He said that there is one person over there that he promised that he would take on a reward no matter what. He chose Andy. Andy did not expect that, says they are not on the best terms game-wise. Jeff tells him to invite one more person. He chooses Genevieve. The three of them walk away.
Teeny says that Genevieve and Sam are already a very clear duo, and not choosing her has pushed her only one way and she thinks that it will have a horrible outcome for their game. “I hope they enjoy their last supper.” “Yeah,” says Sue, “We’re gonna eat all the rice. All three of them are angry at not being chosen, yet we all know they were set to vote against Sam or Genevieve anyway, so he may as well take who he wants. I doubt either of them have a prayer at winning anyone else over to their side of this.

The three at the sanctuary approach their feast set out for them. Andy and Genevieve thank Sam. Sam tells Andy why he respects him. Andy is speechless. Sam knows that the people at camp are not thrilled with him, and he doesn’t care, because he knows that he owes this to Andy. Sam asks Genevieve about her non-emotional approach to the game. She tells them about the impact it had on her when she voted out Kishan. She has learned that keeping everyone at arms length makes it easier to vote them out, but it makes it easier for them to vote you out too, so she is trying to learn to open up a little bit. They read their letters, and there are tears.
The four return to camp and Teeny is furious. She says Sam has just quit the game. The four of them high five several times. Teeny wanted him to try a hail mary, she wanted him to pick her as a hair mary. She says that Sam thinks that the two of them are going to talk to Andy and try to get him to flip. Oh, they all agree, Andy won’t flip. I’m not worried about that. They all like them as a foursome, and they plan to be the final four. The four of them lift a giant log onto the fire, and then say, “Who needs men?”

Andy asks them if he brought him here to wine and dine him, but he woke up with a plan. They are happy to hear his plan. Andy says that he is coming over to them. Working against them, is the underdog alliance of five, which he is part of. He tells them about Rachel’s block a vote. Andy says that if they act as though one of them has a hidden immunity idol, then they will have no choice but to split the vote. All Andy has to do is swing his vote over to Sam and Genevieve’s vote. He suggests that they spend the rest of the evening planning the fake story they will be telling the others about what happened at the Sanctuary. This is the biggest heist and they are calling it Operation Italy.
Sam returns to camp and apologises. They respond, don’t worry about it. Sam tells Teeny that he would rather do Rachel, but if he has to do Genevieve he will. He tells Caroline the same. Geneveive made a fake idol out of bits and bobs the three of them pieced together at the Sanctuary. Andy tells Rachel that he did not have a great time. She tells him that they all felt bad for him. Andy’s job is to assure the others that he is still trustworthy. He tells Teeny and Caroline and Sue and Rachel (separately) that it felt like they brought him there to wine and dine him and then strong arm him into going their way. That Genevieve seems to have an idol. Caroline says they ought to split the vote. Sue and Rachel agree that it is a good plan to split the vote. Andy says out of their hearing that this is a great time to get out a big target in this game and right now the juiciest target is Rachel.
Will the four angry women believe him? Will they go along with Andy’s plan? I love it when at final 7, 4 people think they will make it to the end together, and then suddenly — they don’t!

Challenge time! This one will be for immunity, and it looks like it is also an obstacle course. Navigate a balance beam while holding a ball balanced on a platter that has a tiny low wall around it. Then maneuver 2 skulls through a metal maze. Then land 3 balls in 3 tiny dimples on a wobbly round platter. Rachel gave back the immunity necklace.
Teeny is first across the first part, then Sam, then Rachel. Sam is the first through the second stage, then Rachel, then Teeny. Rachel secures her first ball. Andy reaches the third stage of the challenge. Sue reaches the end stage, then Genevieve. Rachel secures 2 balls, nobody else has anything. Rachel secures her last ball and wins individual immunity.
What will happen to the Operation Italy plan? Who is the new target, and how will they communicate this to each other?

There’s a good half hour left in the show tonight (including commercials), so I think the editors are going to be going back and forth with all the possibilities.
Players return to camp. Sam tells Genevieve that it’s been an absolute pleasure together. They agree that if one of them makes it to the end, they’ve got their vote. Genevieve says that their plan is flexible. Perhaps target Caroline, the only thing is that Andy needs to be on the majority side of the vote. Teeny doesn’t think Genevieve has the idol, she wants Sam out. Andy insists they need to split the vote and flush out Genevieve’s idol. Teeny walks up to Sam and Genevieve and they discuss whether or not to tell her about the idol. Genevieve says to keep the vote on her, cuz she will be fine. To let her know if things change. Genevieve tells Teeny that she found a clue at the sanctuary and she burned the note. Teeny believes her. Not sure if the vote will go their way.
I worry that Andy is spending too much time talking with his Italian alliance.
Sam plays his part with the four women to try to convince them that he still feels like he is on the bottom. Caroline goes through Genevieve’s bag while Sue keeps watch. Sue says that we need “what’s her name” to play her block a vote tonight and she will play her idol to save Caroline. Sue feels uncomfortable like something is going wrong.
Rachel doesn’t want to do a split vote, she wants to load up on Sam and send one vote to Genevieve.
Genevieve acknowledges that more can go wrong than can go right, but it’s all she has.
They walk to tribal council with twenty minutes left before the episode ends.

Tribal council. I’m always for the underdog, never for the bigger group, so I am hoping that the Italian job pans out somehow.
Jury walks in, Kyle looks angry. That makes me sad.
Jeff asks Sam, then Genevieve what it was like for them at the sanctuary. Geneveive said that the letters reminded her that you are better off when you open up with people. Andy agrees with her, how the letters meant a lot. Caroline and Teeny make meaningful eye contact. Do they no longer trust Andy? Teeny angrily says that the only way she’s ever been able to play the game is with her emotions. She says that she was so angry at not being chosen for the reward, that on her it had the opposite result, she now is much less emotional and attached to people.
Sue said Jeff was not wrong when he said, “Go ahead and have your reward, the four of us will be back at camp, planning your demise.”
Teeny reveals that there is a majority of 4 and the 3 of them. A lot of us have bonded already, and a pecking order has been decided and that’s that.
Jeff fetches the votes. Sam tells Genevieve to play her idol. She says that she is ok with the otutcome. Convincing Sue that Caroline would be safe.
Sam, Genevieve, Caroline, Sam, Genevieve, Caroline, Caroline.
It worked!
Caroline tells them it was well played. The remaining three of the cocky four are shocked, just how I like them. There is no longer a majority, and I am happy to have the cockiness knocked down a peg or two.
- Andy: Caroline
- Caroline: Genevieve
- Genevieve: Caroline
- Rachel: Genevieve
- Sam: Caroline
- Sue: Sam

Caroline says that she is so grateful to have had this opportunity.
Next week is the season finale. Teeny doesn’t trust anyone.
